Free as a cat! Is there a better description for the icon of the Balkan's music scene, the always strong and independent Zdenka Kovačiček?
It is precisely under this self-confident title that Zdenka has opened the soul and pages of her rich career in autobiographies, which are presented as part of this year's Interliber, famous Book fair.
It was the perfect overture to a concert show that will take place under the same title on Monday, December 8 at Peti Kupe, Zagreb Croatia.
Zdenka Kovačiček is not only a performer, she is a muse and phenomenon of these spaces.
Back in 1978, she set the avant-garde standard with the song Elektra, which Karl Lagerfeld used for the finale of the Chanel fashion show in Paris.
This incredible career, lasting almost seven decades, marked by instinct and passion, brought Zdenki the Porin Award for Lifetime Achievement and the title "Women for All Times".

Well, Zdenkin's opus is not nearly closed - just the opposite.
These days, the musical diva once again conquered the airwaves with her new single Ružin cvijet, a song that has been patiently waiting for the right moment to bloom for 40 years and was immediately among the best-selling singles in Croatia.
This quirky and witty song, the text of which is written by Zdenkina's favorite poet Slavica Maras, author of Frka i Konstatacije jedne mačke, is carried by the catchy melody of Zvonimira Bajević.
Ružin cvijet also will be performed in Peti Kupe, the club to which Zdenka has recently been especially connected. Right here is a Woman's Day 2023, she gave, as she says, one of the best concerts in her career.
Last year, this club celebrated its 80th birthday with a program of 40+40, featuring a diverse and exciting mix of different musical genres from its long career.
