Ivo Dimchev is a Bulgarian artist born in 1976, known as a choreographer, visual artist, singer-songwriter, and queer activist. His work is an extreme and colorful blend of performance art, dance, theater, music, painting, and photography.
He has created over 40 stage performances and has received numerous international awards for his dance and theater work. Dimchev’s performances have been shown across Europe, North and South America, and Asia. He is also the author of more than 100 original songs included in his Songbook.
Besides his artistic work, he teaches master classes at prestigious institutions across Europe, including the National Theater Academy in Budapest and the Royal Dance Conservatory in Belgium. He has founded the Humarts Foundation in Bulgaria and established independent art spaces in Brussels and Sofia.
His new song and music video, "Clit in the Sky," continue his tradition of combining emotive lyrics with dynamic instrumental arrangements. The video carries a powerful message of self-acceptance and liberation, visually expressing a sense of freedom and inner strength. Notably, a special concert is scheduled for October 4, 2025, at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.
