Dragan Lukić Luky, better known simply as Luky, the Croatian musician and producer from Split, has released his new song “Srce od zlata” (“Heart of Gold”), marking his return to the local music scene after a period of relative quiet. The music video is now on YouTube, featuring visuals that match the song’s emotional tone.
Luky’s journey through music began in the 1980s with bands like Tužne uši and Abortus. He later made his name as a producer and songwriter, working with major figures of Croatian music—Damir Urban, Dino Dvornik, Daleka obala, Laufer, Oliver Dragojević, and The Beat Fleet. His first solo album Ararita (2003) came as a surprise, stylistically distinct from his band work, giving hits like “Ti si more”, “Mislit na sebe”, and “Provaj!”. It was followed by V.I.T.R.I.O.L. in 2006 and Hvala :), together forming a musical trilogy.
“Srce od zlata” signals a new phase—Luky seems ready to reconnect with his audience through honest lyrics, melodic arrangements, and a matured approach that reflects life experience. The video, though visually rich, stays elegant—emphasis is on emotion, personal truth, and atmosphere that invites the listener in.
After many years, Luky comes back not just as the familiar face, but as an author who has gone through, reflected, and is ready to continue making music the way he knows best—with integrity and originality.
