Muzzik finds: Thylacine releases “Shark Island”

A new single merging ambiental and electronic music

French musician and producer Thylacine (William Rezé) has released his new single “Shark Island” through Intuitive Records on September 19, 2025.

“Shark Island” showcases Thylacine’s signature approach: a blend of atmospheric, ambient textures and carefully crafted electronic beats — music that both invites introspection and subtly moves the body.

Originating from Angers, France, Thylacine has a background in classical training, has played saxophone, and has built a career exploring soundscapes that interweave electronics with ambient, spatial and natural elements.

His prior works — Transsiberian, Timeless, Polar, and others — already earned him attention for unique arrangements and rich sonic textures.

The official music video for “Shark Island” is out on YouTube. The visuals align well with the track’s mood: minimalistic yet evocative imagery, emphasizing atmosphere and texture rather than flashy effects or storytelling.
