Multiple BRIT Award and Mercury Prize nominated musician Olivia Dean has released her long-awaited second album, The Art Of Loving, including lead single "So Easy (To Fall In Love)", via Capitol Records.
Produced with Zach Nahome, The Art Of Loving is a release that shines in a thoughtful exploration of love, in its many forms. Flawlessly blending warmth and sincerity through her heartfelt portrayals of romantic and platonic love, Olivia elegantly displays her honed and mastered musicianship through her ever-resonating songwriting.
With an undeniable aura of nostalgia and timelessness, each track offers an individual insight into the complex layers of love. Lead track "So Easy (To Fall In Love)" shines with joyous beats and upbeat lyrics, setting the strong tone of the album. The song brings a fresh perspective on dating and encourages the listener to remember their own worth and wealth. As the album builds on to "Let Alone The One The Love", "Loud" and "Close Up", listeners are exposed to a refreshing vulnerability, expressed through lyrics that are guaranteed to stand the test of time.
Olivia's signature sound runs throughout The Art Of Loving, especially on the tracks A Couple Minutes and the previously released Lady Lady, as well as the hit singles Nice To Each Other and Man I Need. Tender and soulful, Olivia rounds out the album with "I've Seen It," a ballad built on warmth and reflection, gratefully aware of the significant traces of love.
Speaking about the album, Olivia notes: "I don't think it's cynical to say that love isn't just magic that happens to you, it's that you have to put in the time, it's a craft, like playing an instrument or any other skill... I'm a hopeless romantic. And I guess I'm trying to put a little love and loving back into your life."
Her debut album "Messy" received critical acclaim upon its release and cemented her status as one of the most compelling voices in the neo-soul and pop genres. Olivia recently became the first British woman to have three UK top 10 singles since Adele. Her latest track "Man I Need" quickly became the best-selling song by a British artist on Spotify's Global Charts this year, and also entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #37. Earlier this month, she announced her biggest UK and European concert tour to date, starting in April 2026, including four sold-out nights at The O2 London.
Earlier this year, Olivia Dean supported Sam Fender on his UK tour, including a sold-out show at the London Stadium, where they debuted their new collaboration on Sam's track 'Rein Me In'.
She recently performed with Sabrina Carpenter at her show at BST Hyde Park on July 6 and will join her again for a series of US concerts in October and November, including five sold-out nights at Madison Square Garden.
