L.E.J unveil “SUMMER 2025 : THE LAST SUMMER” ahead of new album S’aimer c’est une galère

The French trio L.E.J (Lucie, Élisa, and Juliette) has released the video “SUMMER 2025 : THE LAST SUMMER” as a powerful introduction to their forthcoming album S’aimer c’est une galère, set to drop on October 3, 2025.

In the video’s description, the credits detail the creative contributions: arrangement, vocals and cello are handled by L.E.J themselves, while Christopher Colesse did the mixing and mastering. The video was filmed by Lisa Billiard, edited by Juliette Saumagne, and color graded by Fabien Khalmes. The production management (régie) was led by Charlotte Renaud and Thomas, and Silon Ponsin was responsible for prompter/backline support.

This release signals L.E.J’s shift into a more mature artistic phase: from viral mashup beginnings to original songwriting and deeper musical expression. Having first gained acclaim with their “Summer 2015” mashup, they now enter a new era.

The album title S’aimer c’est une galère (loosely: “Loving each other is a struggle”) suggests an intimate, raw exploration of emotions, relationships, tensions and creative honesty.

Musically, the trio blend R&B, chanson, French pop, and elements of their classical training into a coherent, expressive fusion. sonicrendezvous.com+1“SUMMER 2025 : THE LAST SUMMER” stands as a visual and thematic prologue to this new musical chapter — evoking twilight, transition, and a bittersweet farewell to what was.

L.E.J remain one of the few contemporary all-female French ensembles operating with both vocal and instrumental depth. Juliette’s cello, Lucie’s vocal technique, and Élisa’s versatility underscore their musical foundation.

With this new release, L.E.J prove they are not merely a viral sensation from the mashup era, but artists pushing toward lasting creative relevance.
