Niš's collaboration: Polarni Fazani with Figurative Theatre!

(bi)polar pheasants and the new neighborhood vocal limb!

Author: Mihajlo Kitevski

The group Polarni Fazani, which just a few years ago had an interesting collaboration with the "alternative" of the folk scene - Boban Zdravković, this October, they bring something completely different - a real diametrical opposite, but also a sound nostalgia for their earlier song - "Komšinica", which they recorded almost thirty years ago.

It is a new single - "Komšiče", which this group made in collaboration with Niš artist and musician - Peđa Živanović from the Figurative Theater group. It could be said colloquially that the very title of the song "Komšiče" suggests some kind of conversation, commentary - although there is more to it. This song suggests a closeness, a neighborly relationship of punk, industrial and a bit more extreme metal.

Such a "neighborly" tone enhances the down-to-earth, realistic feeling in the text, and the raw production mix only evokes the transgressive attitude of these authors! In addition to the soundtrack, the authors of the group Polarni Fazani made an excellent low-budget spot in the manner of B-Horror film and video production, combining horrific scenes from the Yugoslav horror film - "Butterfly" with recorded materials from last year's concert and rehearsal where Peđa Živanović was a guest.

All in all, with the new single Pheasants continue to stick to their robust sound, preserving the rawness and immediacy that befits the punk genre. Such an approach of this group allows them to let the energy come to the fore and for the lyrics and the music to work harmoniously - what is sung is therefore felt!
