Grafa x Robi - Всеки от нас (Each of Us)

Grafa and Robi’s duet with a video based on a true story – about cancer we find hard to talk about

The official YouTube channels of Grafa and Robi have released the video for their joint song “Vseki ot nas” (“Each of Us”), which tells the story of a family that has gone through a battle with cancer. The video doesn’t feature actors, but real people whose lives speak for themselves – without effects, symbolism, or posing, just as it truly happens.

The main participants are Roni, her husband Mitko, and their nine-year-old son Mark. Six years ago, Roni was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer with metastases. She underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy but never lost faith. Today she is healthy, active, and happy, and her participation in the video is meant to give courage and strength to others walking the same path. Roni believes that illness should be spoken about openly – because cancer is a difficult topic, yet sooner or later it touches each of us, through a loved one, a friend, or our own fear. Even when we avoid it, it remains a reality we cannot ignore.

“This video reflects our ambition to start talking openly about cancer,” says Grafa. For him, it’s not just an artistic project, but a deeply personal story: “I lost my mother to this disease, and now my father continues his fight against it. When director Yordan Zhechev presented the idea for the video, I immediately embraced it. I felt that through it, love, pain, hope, and the need to stay together in hard times could truly be expressed.” Zhechev adds that his inspiration also comes from personal experience: “I’ve worked with words all my life, but when I went to visit a close friend who was battling cancer, I didn’t know what to say. That’s when I realized how important it is to talk about it, even when words fail us.”

Robi, one of the brightest young artists on the scene, says he’s grateful to work with Grafa, who has long been known for supporting and mentoring new talent. “I wrote this song with Grafa. Yordan Zhechev turned it into this beautiful video. Thank you,” he shared on Facebook.

The video for “Each of Us” doesn’t aim for dramatic effect – it seeks truth. It reminds us that hope isn’t a grand word, but a small, everyday choice: to keep going, to love, and to be there for one another. (info: press)
