Muzzik is moved: Lana Pletikapić - Shabadabada

After a short break, which she enjoyed in the first days of motherhood with her second daughter, Lana returns to radio playlists with a refreshing jazzy bossa nova.

The song is reminiscent of some earlier times, and yet it sounds fresh and innovative. Harmonic progressions connected by a common tone and ostinato in the vocal line evoke the classic Brazilian school, such as Jobim's "Samba de Uma Nota Só", while the chorus with an unusual rhythmic play between 3/4 and 4/4 meters, although it sounds fluent, could confuse even the best bossa dancers.

This is not a classic love story. It tells of the invisible connection between a mother and a being that has yet to come into the world. I got inspired when Lana told me she was expecting a baby, says author and producer Sandro Bačić.

At the Picaboca studio in Slavonski Brod, the musicians who collaborated with Lana on her album Drugi svijet (Another World) gathered again.

Paul Kempf on piano, Vinko Didović on accordion and Tin Džaferović on bass guitar. Guitar, drums and percussion were played by Sandro Bačić, who also recorded the video with Slavica Mutavdžić.

Since little Mila is still completely dependent on her mother, Lana simply didn't have time to pose in front of the cameras this time, and we didn't want a typical "lyric video", so we made a compromise. The video is a gentle collage - a combination of Lana's scenes from previous videos and handwritten lyrics recorded in real time.

Lana's new single, like all her previous ones, is being released by Nota Bene Records.
