Florence wrote and produced Everybody Scream, with a close circle of collaborators including Harley, Mark Bowen of IDLES, Dessner, Mitski and Dave Bayley of Glass Animals.

After needing life-saving surgery during the Dance Fever tour, Florence's recovery takes her on a journey of spiritual mysticism, witchcraft and folkloric horror as she explores the limits of her body and what it means to be "healed." The album deals with themes of femininity, partnership, aging and dying, exposing the dark in the everyday.
