Robbie Williams travels back to 1995 with “Pretty Face (Live on The Word)”

Williams also announced his “LONG 90’s” tour, kicking off in February 2026

Robbie Williams continues his nostalgic journey through the Britpop era with the release of “Pretty Face (Live on The Word)”, a video that recreates the spirit of the iconic 1990s TV show The Word — a groundbreaking platform that helped launch acts like Nirvana, Oasis, Blur and Happy Mondays.

Directed by Charlie Lightening, produced by Emma Thompson and the AIST team, with Russell De Rozario as art director, the video perfectly captures the look, feel and youthful chaos of the mid-’90s British music scene.

Robbie describes this project as his “DeLorean moment” — a musical time-travel back to 1995, the golden age of Britpop. “If BRITPOP is the album I would have made back then, The Word would have been the TV show,” he wrote, underlining the project’s concept of revisiting his artistic beginnings.

The track is part of his upcoming album BRITPOP, a celebration of the sound and attitude that shaped his early years as a solo artist. Alongside the release, Williams also announced his “LONG 90’s” tour, kicking off in February 2026 — a full-scale tribute to the decade that defined his rise.
